Protecting your fleet just got easier. We’ve built our core Vehicle Security features directly into the base Ford Pro Telematics software.

Fleet managers with an active, eligible subscription can automatically get these security tools at no extra cost. There is no need to manually enroll in a separate product.

Newly included Vehicle Security features:

• Unexpected Location Change: Get an alert if a vehicle moves (e.g., is towed) while the ignition is off.
• Door Opened: Know instantly if a vehicle door opens during custom restricted hours.
• Trigger Vehicle Alarm: Manually sound a vehicle’s alarm remotely if you suspect unauthorized use is in progress.
• Fleet Start Inhibit: Remotely disable the ignition to prevent a vehicle from starting, either on demand or on a set schedule.

Staying on top of critical security events is challenging when the information you need lives in a separate app — slowing response times and creating a fragmented view of fleet activity.

With Vehicle Security Notifications, Ford Pro Telematics Software alerts fleet managers of things such as unauthorized access (Door Opened) and towing (Unexpected Location Change) directly in the main dashboard — no secondary app required. Available globally, fleet managers now benefit from real-time notifications and extended alert history in a single, unified platform, making it easier than ever to monitor, respond, and protect their vehicles at scale.

Unauthorized vehicle use can be a costly risk and traditional security solutions often require hardware that's expensive to install and can void warranties.

With Fleet Start Inhibit in Ford Pro Telematics Software, fleet managers remotely control when a vehicle is turned off directly from the platform — no hardware needed. Send an immediate Inhibit command or set a schedule to lock down vehicles when they’re not needed, such as overnight or on weekends, all without compromising driver safety or vehicle warranties.

Retrieving footage from a Dashcam SD card used to mean submitting a request to Ford Pro support to unencrypt the data creating delays when time matters most.

Now, fleet managers can toggle SD card encryption directly within Ford Pro Telematics Software, enabling immediate access to footage without support intervention. Available across both Basic and Enhanced Dashcam tiers, this update also consolidates all dashcam settings into a single, dedicated section under Fleet Settings, making configuration simpler and faster than ever.

Fleet managers are under constant pressure to improve road safety and control operating costs, but traditional speed limiting solutions often require costly hardware installations and time-consuming vehicle downtime.

Top Speed Limiter is now available in Europe, Ford Pro Telematics Software introduces this over-the-air solution that lets managers remotely cap vehicle speeds on MY23+ Transit Custom diesels directly from the platform; no aftermarket hardware required. This puts speed management firmly in the hands of the fleet, making safer driving easier to enforce and simpler to scale.

The Automated Reset feature is a proactive recovery mechanism within the Ford Pro Charging software platform. It identifies specific, vetted charger fault codes (defined by a set list of identified charger faults, commonly resolved with a reset) and automatically issues remote resets (aka: reboots) to resolve issues without human intervention. The system includes intelligent safety gating to ensure resets never interrupt an active charging session and includes a "lockout" logic to prevent infinite reboot loops on hardware with persistent failures.

This new feature introduces an automated communication loop to inform the customer when their charging device has successfully self-corrected following a detected issue, or if not successfully self-corrected, automatically creates a support case and informs the customer that human intervention may be required.
